Who is Ashley Ensminger?
I am a nonfiction writer with an MFA in Creative Writing from Carlow University in Pittsburgh. I am currently a PhD Candidate in the Literature and Criticism Program at Indiana University of PA. My writing has appeared in Sinister Wisdom and Mountain Home Magazines, and I help run an Open Mic for Writers in a nearby town.

I am a single mama living in North Central Pennsylvania with my daughter and our two dogs. I function on coffee, laughter, and live music. I read poetry every day. I live for adventure and exploring National Parks, but right now most of my time is spent working on PhD research and watching horror movies to relax.

I dedicate all of my writing that I've ever done and will ever do to my mama, Cheryl Ensminger, who passed away in January, 2024. Thank you for teaching me that there is magic in telling stories, and giving me the tools to do so. xo
